about
He who believes in his dreams walks within their passion throughout life. My name is Jermyah Graves 'AKA" Gravedigger, Just A kid from Akron, Ohio, who knows the true meaning of discipline, structure, and self-care to remain compliant with my goals related to sports and other conquered professional endeavors.
I encountered the first signs of being a champion during my high school football years at the excellent "Canton McKinley Sr High School" in Canton, Ohio. I later took the JUCO route in Mason City, IA, at North Iowa Area Community College, where I became an All-American Nose Tackle.

GRAVEDIGGER
After many college visits to top DI schools, I joined the BCS, University of Southern California (USC Trojans). The most memorable game was USC VS Texas (Rose Bowl Game 2006). As recruiting progressed, playing time on the field seemed to decline. At the time, with many offers on the table once again, I decided to transfer, but this time would be different and change my life forever.
I enrolled at the great Albany State University (ASU Rams) Historical Black College (HBCU) with a clear commitment and option. This experience molded me into the man I am today. After two seasons with the ASU Rams, I led the nation in force fumbles as a Nose Tackle. The ASU "Dirty Blue Ram Defense" was ranked in the top 5 in D2 Football. After my senior year, I quickly gained attention from NFL and CFL scouts through personal workouts and camp invites; however, as time dwindled, I knew another plan would come. After childhood, hopes of making it to the league faded away; I went back to school to obtain my degree and graduated with honors, all while being a janitor at night (humble beginnings).
Check out my interview with Y!Sports on "My time to give back."
As I embarked into the professional world, I started at a Nonprofit agency United Planning Organization (UPO), Housing/Community, and the Infamous SafePassages, Youth Development for at-risk youth. As my professional toolbox grew, I was able to serve in Leadership /Management in D.C. Government, & become a Licensed Mental Health Professional within the state of Virginia, and serve in The City of Alexandria Government.
